Certifications & Compliance
AEGIS Powers product certifications — CE, IEC 62619, UN38.3, ISO 9001, ROHS, MSDS. Full compliance for international trade and customs clearance.
International Certifications
All AEGIS energy storage products are tested and certified to meet international safety, quality, and transportation standards. We provide complete certification documentation with every shipment to support customs clearance in any market.
CE — European Conformity
Scope: Confirms our products meet EU safety, health, and environmental requirements.
Applies to: All AEGIS residential and commercial battery systems exported to European and African markets that recognize CE marking.
IEC 62619 — Industrial Battery Safety
Scope: Safety requirements for secondary lithium cells and batteries for use in industrial applications, including stationary energy storage.
Testing includes: Crush test, external short circuit, overcharge, forced discharge, thermal abuse, drop test, and vibration.
Why it matters: IEC 62619 is the primary safety standard for stationary LiFePO4 battery systems. Many institutional buyers and government tenders require this certification.
UN38.3 — Transportation Safety
Scope: United Nations testing requirements for lithium batteries during transport by air, sea, and ground.
Testing includes: Altitude simulation, thermal testing, vibration, shock, external short circuit, impact, overcharge, and forced discharge.
Why it matters: UN38.3 certification is mandatory for international shipping of lithium batteries. Without it, freight forwarders and carriers will refuse the shipment.
ISO 9001 — Quality Management System
Scope: Certifies that our manufacturing processes follow a documented quality management system with continuous improvement practices.
Coverage: Incoming material inspection, production process control, finished product testing, and after-sales service procedures.
ROHS — Restriction of Hazardous Substances
Scope: Confirms our products are free from restricted hazardous materials including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, and PBDE.
Why it matters: Required for markets with environmental protection regulations, including the EU and many African countries adopting EU standards.
MSDS — Material Safety Data Sheet
Scope: Comprehensive document detailing the chemical composition, handling procedures, storage requirements, and emergency measures for lithium battery products.
Why it matters: Required by customs authorities, freight forwarders, and warehouse operators for proper handling of lithium battery shipments.
